Our winter project for the museum 2004-2006 was to upgrade the north half of the museum. We erected partitions to make space for new displays, added floodlighting, and moved many of the duplicate hardware items to long term storage.  We then erected the following displays, with more to come:

The hallways are now well lit and offer new display areas

A table and stools offers crayons and forestry pages to colour, with a few items on the walls of interest to kids

Rudi Van Zwaaij prepared panels that describe local trees

A map of traditional land area and uses of the Cedar tree

Our partnership with the Malaspina Naturalists offers photos of local wildlife and plants

A heli-logging show in Bute inlet circa 1980

Rod Tisdale designed and built the Fire Prevention display.

Thanks Rod!

Ministry of Forests volunteers built this display in Jun 2006.

Thanks to Blake Fougere and Barry for doing this.
