| A community beautification project. Mike
Brown, Rudi VanZwaaij, Ken Gordon, Chet Fee, Marlene Crilly, Sherri Wretham
and Dave Florence participated. BC Ferries provided the site and concrete
base; Weyerhaeuser donated the wood; Mike Brown donated the chainsaw
carving; 3 Leaf Contracting donated the transportation. Several firms and
organizations donated funds to the Forestry Museum to make this project
happen: Weyerhaeuser Stillwater Timberlands; Pacific Thinning Ltd.; Adept
Silva Services; Rotary Club of Powell River; 3-Leaf Contracting Ltd.;
Westview Terminal, BC Ferries. A plaque with the list of donors
is on the base of the carving. Go
