We have many activities underway or in the planning stages.  It just takes time, money, and the dedication of our volunteers to continue our successes to date. Your support through funding or volunteer labour can help. Planned major projects include:

Willingdon Beach Trail Maintenance

We will continue to maintain this accessible trail for the enjoyment of the people of Powell River and visitors. Work parties are held to clear windfalls, remove danger trees, repair drainage culverts, sweep leaves/branches, maintain artifact displays, and improve the surface where it gets muddy.

Willingdon Beach Trail as an official park

The Powell River Forestry Museum Society is working with several groups in Powell River to add the Historic Willingdon Beach Trail and surrounding forest to the park system of Powell River. The expanded park would be called the Millennium Park. The plan can be seen in this adobe.pdf file
